Played First Team Rugby, Cricket and Tennis and Colours for rugby and cricket
House captain and School prefect
1962 – 1965 at AECI ( African Explosives and Chemical Industries )
Technical Research Technician promoted to Senior Research Technician, then Principal Research Technician
Worked under Dr.Beaufils developing Project Physiological Diagnosis and later D.R.I.S. program.Developed Synthetic Growing Mediums.

1970-1975 – OMNIA FERTILISERS in sales department and was involved in the development of Omnia’s liquid fertilisers, working in the Eastern Highveld centred in Bethal. Successful in both sales and technical services and as a result started own company in 1976 with Agricultural Technical Services and Sales
– AGRIBOU – Consulted in SA and Australia.
Served as a director in Centre Pivot Irrigation.
Developed specialist farming in Garlic, building special machinery for this purpose.
On frequent visits to Australia, I was introduced to Australian Tea Tree Oil (MelaleucaAlternifolia )which impressed me greatly, so that in 1984 I started developing Tea Tree Oil products which resulted in the product range of BURNSHIELD ( fire and burn shield products )
Built FIVE FACTORIES complete with machinery and equipment; and achieved CE status for the European Community and FDA status for the USA market.Exported products to 150+ countries, including Australia.
2000- Retired but still active within the invention and innovation field, being busy with own new inventions, and am intimately and actively involved with the Institute for Inventors and Innovators as experience is the best teacher and stimulator!
A long standing Member of the Institute of Inventors and Innovators ( 32 years) and serves as a member of the Board of Trustees of III.
