Inventing is all about solving problems and finding workable solutions and it all started when KEN HAWKSWORTH bought a house with a pool. The time spent fiddling about with cleaners that got stuck in corners was a problem to be solved, so he set out to invent a way to ensure the whole pool was well covered by available pool cleaners.

He redesigned Pool Pilot™ and Random-MaX ™ now incorporates both the original design and an improved ratchet and seal design which means that it rotates the steering bend in a random fashion, forcing the pool cleaner to create ever-changing cleaning routes.
